I don't know how to use ranged weapons. :S

first equip a bow. make sure its you main weapon. have some arrows. then click "F". then select the target click enter.

More specifically, [p]ut away your current weapon, and [r]emove the bow/crossbow/whatever.  Then [f]ire.
