Glassmaker doesn't recognize sand held in encrusted bag
« on: September 15, 2006, 09:17:00 pm »

My glassworker was doing just fine, working with bags of sand and happily churning out items. However, I had a jeweler simultaneously encrusting those bags with gems and cut glass. Whenever a bag became encrusted, my glassmaker would no longer recognize it as carrying sand and he'd get a different bag.

As of now, I have about 40 bags full of sand, but my glassmaker refuses to make more glass because, the game notifies me, I need a sand-bearing item. Guh. :[

P.S., can we please have a way to tell our idiots to stop encrusting bags / bins / barrels / buckets? An encrusting control page, like the one for the kitchen, where you could designate which kinds of items were allowed to be encrusted, according to both item type and material, would be keen.

This is a known bug.  And better controls for encrusting et. all are planned for the future.  That is all.

...the combination of those two issues is certainly unfortunate, though, I'll grant you that.

This bug also stops recognition of sand bags that have images sewn onto them.

Oops now I see Toady has already seen this bug.  Sorry to annoy.
