Why don't my dwarfes care about my stockpiles?
« on: November 11, 2010, 07:14:18 am »

Hi

Always when I create several stockpiles at one time (while game is on pause mode obviously) then my dwarfes only fill one up and leave the rest. How can I force them to move their lazy butts?

These questions would be better asked in this thread: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?board=7.0

Anyway, more info would help get you an answer.

If you have multiple stockpiles of the same thing there's no way to force them to spread it amongst them. Also if your specifying materials for different stockpiles remember that basically all materials are listed under "metals" so if you turn metals off they won't put anything in them even if you have stone turned on.

Sweet.The problem solved itself

I was afk for half an hour and I didnt pause the game.
Result:
Half of my dwarfs died of thirst,an engineer went crazy and killed like 5 people(and is resuming his rampage while im writing this)
But magically that moved my dwarfs to fill the stockpiles, the finished good one atleast.
