My marksdwarf is so hardcore, he can hold a crossbow and a hammer in the same hand. Or maybe he grew an extra right arm.

Using unmodified 38c.

Perhaps he has the hammer loaded in the crossbow?

I personally find that cooler than holding a xbow and hammer at the same time.

I think the dwarven bayonet is the crossbow itself. It uses the hammer skill, btw.

Also, he's naked except for his pants, covered in blood, and earned the title "the Geared Visionary".  He's the badest dwarf ever to wield a crossbow (and a hammmer at the same time).  Nickname him Rambo.

That is a wacky bug though.  Did you tell him to train with a hammer before switching to crossbow?  He just didn't drop his old weapon when you told him to change equipment.  Probably related to that platemail-greedy dwarf a few threads over.  Try forbidding the hammer and see if he drops it, or a hauler takes it.

If you want to ruin an awesome visage of dwarvdom that is.

Aqizzar has it almost right. I just changed him from crossbow to hammer, in an attempt to get him to drop that cheesy fish bone thing.  (I have a few masterpiece crossbows thanks to my new Legendary boyer.) He seems quite attached to it.

Stinthad is the most badass dwarf of a whole badass fortress. No actual sieges yet, but constant raids. He's the only one left from my first draft. Only the elves have made it to my depot alive. Who am I supposed to trade my goblin skull totems to?

I should post the log of that axedwarf beating two goblins to death with her shield. They had gray and brown wounds in nearly every body part before it was over.

I imagine this isn't a bug so much as an oversight, similiar to the adventure mode one that allows you to equip tons of shields at once. I think what causes it is that the game doesn't check for free grasps in certain situations.

Not to mention the one that lets you wear like 27 turbans.

The inventory is obviously bugged but some of them are not replicable. One time I put on mittens then gloves on top. But then when I took both off and tried to put the gloves on first it would not let me wear the mittens as well.

In Adventure Mode, not only can you carry all of the shields of your slain enemies, but you can carry their weapons as well, although it doesn't seem to do anything.  You only attack with the first weapon you had equipped. Twenty blood-covered battle axes in one hand, and twenty bloody shields in the other, while very badass, is a bug.  I'm not sure if it is reported yet.

so then he got some pig tail thread, and made a crossbow out of his pick-turned war hammer.

It probably fires rocks, or crystal shards.
