Share the most hilarious/horrible/bizarre injury your dwarf has survived/died to/laughed at!!
I was inspired to do this when I spotted:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
At first I assumed the dwarf was dragging a heavy chain or something, but no items showed when I hovered over it... I looked more closely at the dwarf, and realised they were one of my walking wounded... With their guts popped out...
Yes, that's right! The tildes are their intestines, being dragged over the rocky ground as they wander around farming!!  :o

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...
Link for full quote. 'tis mighty funny.

I bet that's a Dwarven health code violation right there.

"Sir, we can't have you dragging your intestines all over the crops."

I have a war dog like this. Been walking around 3 or 4 years with its guts popped out after being injured by a FB. Guess the game doesn't model that your guts would get terribly infected that way (or I used dfcleanmap too much).

I've had a dwarf die, from two broken legs.
Get got those broken legs by builing a floor tile over a ramp. (next to a bridge)
which immediatly  colapsed, dropping that one stone, 1 z layers caused a "cave in".
 breaking his legs.

Just recently a thresher got caught outside during a siege and lost both her hands before the military came and saved her.

I didn't think she'd make it, but she took herself to hospital, got cleaned up, then decided she was better.

She can't equip any armour or weapons, or do any work. So I made her Captain of the Guard.

Now she seems happy, despite the "Urist McStumpy cancels store owned item: Too injured" messages.

One of my dwarves lost his nose ...

Take a second and imagine that. A fat, hairy dwarf without a nose.

My most legendairy epic dwarf (ever),
after running around taking on a seige of 50-100 gobbos
was sourounded by crossbowman,
And beign rained upon by bolts.
Now normally  the only wounds she takes is "Tired" (which normally heals by the end of a squad)
this time i looked, she had a yellow wound.
Her left thumb had been grazed!,
After finishing of the squad of crossbow men, I sent her to bed (this was in the days before hospitales)
...Her wound healed before she made it back to the fortress.

Give cats natural metallic armor and throw them in your danger room.  Also allow their mouth and tail to grasp (shield in mouth, weapon in tail xD)  Have a cat based military.  You know, do the same with all tame animals xD send in the cats as shock troops to disrupt the archers

My legendary wrestler got thrown across the map by a Cyclops and got her legs broke, ¬¬ and is now dying in the hospital with broken legs and missing an arm. Cause after breaking her legs she still wanted to fight the Cyclops and it was too late to save her :(

Probably your happiest dwarf too. Seriously, try to imagine the delightful bouquet that a fortress must accumulate over the years.

One of my oldest dwarf, a farmer whose last name was appropriately Worktorrid, has his left hand missing for AGES due to... I'm not sure, I think it had to do with an incident involving a trap. Or a llama. Or both.
So, he's been farming and hauling stuff with just one hand. Just one.
And he's been a hella more productive than anyone else in my fortress. Daaaaayum.
Also, one marksdwarf who had several bones broken, among which her thumb. They're still broken to this day, but somehow, she still fires bolts just fine. Oh, well.

I wish I still had the save file, because I had a dwarf I was forced to nickname "Stumpy" See he used to be a champion axedwarf, untill the human seiges started. The first time when he charged, they took his legs... both of them. I'm still not sure how he survived that. But regardless, he was useless at this point, but since he had already helped with SEVERAL goblin seiges, i though a legitamite peacefull retirement was in order... Untill the humans broke through the entrance. One of the bastards came and chopped off his left arm, but once again, the doctors magically did their job again. The last arm was lost not to hostiles, but to a tantruming axedwarf, ironically his replacement. He chopped off the last limb. So I had this poor dwarf, who had no limbs, and I'm assuming the doctors hated him because they would not let him die. He lasted around 4 years after that, untill he finally died the most epic death ever. During a FB incident, he somehow dragged himself to the entrance to the hostpital (not sure how) and managed to distract the FB long enough for the militia to arrive. R.I.P Stumpy, Armok bless your brave soul.
