You're right, I was short a skill point.  Added one to rummage (can I max out the skill at +3 and then add the +1 from detective, or do I have to choose something else?).

ok, fixed up Frelock and kilakan's char sheets, annddd.. MAPS! (caution: link'd for HUEG): http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c106/bowdown2q/city5map.png, and, for travel - http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c106/bowdown2q/citymapcircles.gif each purple circle = 1 Navigation (meaning if the distance you want to travel is < or = your Navigation, you can go there as a single half-action. Farther requires at least 1 more (you have 3, want to 4, you use 1 full action, etc.)) Navigation ranks sum for everyone who is moving as a group (you have 7, +2 for the van = 9). Anything that isn't labeled is some kind of suburb.

Anyone who wants in can post and I'll toss you on the wait list, to be found when the survivors search a building or such.

DAY 1, Dawn
YOU ARE IN A STORM CELLAR. It is very dark; the candles are about to die. It is finally safe to venture above. You cannot stay here; it is far too cramped, and the wooden door will not survive a second night of zombies.  The surface is clear of zombies, although you can hear at least one moaning in the burning remains of the house above. Your WHITE VAN sits at the curb unmolested. QUEUE YOUR ACTIONS (4, and you may throw up night as well, and I will allow you to change after I announce the Day. Leave contingencies - eg if there are zombies.)

I suggest the following course of action for the day.
Hit up the hospital (1/2 turn) in the morning and spend 1 turn searching it.  Then go to the gun store(1/2 turn) and spend a turn searching that.  Finally, spend our last turn heading to the water tower and fortifying the top for the night.  If it's empty, so much the better; we'll have an extremely secure hideout with a sizable amount of space.  With a little bit of wood and some engineering, we could make a full house on the inside of that thing.  If it's full, then we have a source of water.  We would sleep without lights on the top in that situation, with a watch set to guard for zombie attacks.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

I agree with that but i doubt the gun store will be of any use either its empty because many other people rushed there OR the shop keeper is protecting it. So instead of going to the gunstore i would go to the toolshop.
and in the hospital i will search for Morfine, blood thinners, blood thickeners, pain killers , anitbacterial water, surgery equipment, much bandage, and some usual other stuff

I'm afraid if you split ways, you simply can't hoof it all that way (13) from the hospital to the hardware store - esp. what with the two of you having NO navigation  :D. If there is somebody at [place X], you can either try to convince them to come with you (COU), push them around, or just kill them and loot the bodies. OR whatever else.

Quip, you are on the list. If they find you today, you'll join as a PC as of Dawn of Day 2.

what? if we go to the hardware store we will get some stuff to fortify our water tower, but iwill only go IF the rest of the group goes as i will NOT start chopping down hordes of zmbies with a machete

The problem I see with going to both the hardware store and the hospital is that they're on opposite sides of our starting position.  Even if we went together, it'd take us a whole turn to get there, meaning we'd only have half a turn to search.  When I was looking for places to go, one of the criteria was that they needed to be close together, so we'll still have time to do stuff when we get there.  However, I think that tomorrow, going to the hardware store would be an excellent idea.  It only takes 1/2 a turn to get there from the water tower, so we could spend a whole turn searching and then a whole two turns fortifying the tower, which will probably make it fairly safe.  Then we could hit up the diner or the apartments for food and other supplies the day after.
