4th Hematite, Early Summer 200

COMPLICATION: Animal Migrations!

To the east, the playful fox scampers away, replaced by a cunning cougar.
To the north, the Giant Eagle flies away, not to be replaced.
To the south, the Zombie Hammerhead Shark is relieved of its shift by a Zombie Blacktip Reef Shark. For anyone wondering, if a Hammerhead shark is a tiger then a Blacktip Reef Shark is a largish tomcat.

Sorry for the delay (and the missed stocks update), I've been preparing for a vacation and got a bit carried away. Speaking of, I'll be back from said vacation Sunday night on the off chance I don't get the opportunity to post between now and then.

I did mention I wanted to build chairs and tables with whatever free time I have after mining what ggamer's dwarf can't do.

By my count, you and ggamer combined don't mine out every space currently designated. I'm seeing 40 tiles designated at z-4, and >40 at z-1 Hey, what am I thinking- z-1 is soil. My bad.

I'll be sure to adjust XP/stocks accordingly. Think I'm going to go pass out first.

As I recall, that was Vismil's NPC job as well  :P

I'm going to just do mason stuff for a phase or two, since the preliminary mining seems done. As demand increases I'll mine some more, at least exploratorily. If ggamer still wants to mine, please indicate designations here or on the wiki.

I regret to say that at this time, I'm expecting to be at a funeral in another state within the next few days. The associated baggage has kept me from doing a proper update tonight, and just to clear my mind a bit I'll just take a week off from the game. Ideally I'll be doing a proper update next Sunday night.

So does that mean the next week doesn't happen, or that the next update is three updates in one?

Well my face is red- I appear to have left the appropriate txt file at home. I'll be back home wednesday, and I think what I might do is make a series of rapid fire updates to make up for my absence.

Treat the lapse in action as though I had hit the pause button.

Monk12 Cancels Post: Interrupted by DF

DF and exhaustion, anyway. I spent far too much time in a car Monday/Tuesday. My crap should be over with now, so I'll start with the overdue stocks update and do a new turn after work tomorrow.

STOCKS

ANIMALS

UNIT LIST

CALENDAR

Population of Cloisteredtombs: 11 Players, 2 NPC

Speaking of the new version of DF, the new stuff now retroactively exists in this game. Your soil layer is Sandy Clay, which is usable for pottery. Although there are no hives in the immediate vicinity of Cloisteredtombs, there are likely a few somewhere down in the forest if you want to take up beekeeping. Burro the donkey is the only grazer in the fortress, so I'll just assume that he does his grazing near the entrance of the fortress. Anyone can establish a pasture elsewhere if you so desire. New critters show up via caravan or biome as normal. Mineral scarcity is relatively unchanged, if only because I'm faking it since I don't have good information on how Toady does it in the first place. I think that covers most of the exciting and relevant changes.

Proper update tomorrow.

ggamer, was there anywhere you wanted to mine, since for the next week or so my dwarf will be in the mason's shop.

Whoop, forgot Shadow's masonry XP for the stuff he built last update- will add it to the coming stocks screen.

Next update once we get actions for everyone, or 3 days from now, whichever is faster.
