I'm going to be a bit late on my map update. I just updated my hard drive, and I haven't got the computer up again yet. It will be up shortly, and then I'll update. My iPod doesn't handle wiki well.

EDIT: Okay, map edit is done. I'm done the bedrooms so far and have started on the shops area. I'm thinking that food-related shops should go there, but I'm not the one handling that. I'm just doing the digging, and masonry when I'm free.

OK, with New Year's out of the way the holiday season is over for real this time. Next stocks update will account for the last 2 phases and will also have MEDIUM PRECISION (three significant digits). Which at this point is more than enough.

The quarry bush harvest is actually coming in this week- any and all NPC dwarves will harvest the crop, leaving you free to replant the field. I think what I'll do the next time I dick with the map is add a number to each field indicating the number of weeks until it is ready for harvest.

Stocks should be done soon so you know what you have to work with.

So how is the wiki editing going, Monk? Will you be able to do the tower now?

Mining is updated now.

Well, I guess I'll post my action.

one of these two, depending on the variables:

1. Create more charcoal (if needed for next action), Create Copper Hammer

2. If there is enough charcoal: Smelt Galena Ore, Create copper hammer

ANIMALS

UNIT LIST
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Population of Cloisteredtombs: 8 Players, 3 NPC

What!?! A stock update immediately following the game post? Madness!

No map update yet, lets not get crazy here. I'll have that done tomorrow *fingers crossed*  This is also the last week of Spring, for anyone who cares.

N.B.  You have no barrels, but all the perishables are barreled.

FAKEEDIT: Shadow, my plan now is to try and get the wiki up to date after work tomorrow, and hopefully invest some serious learning time in on Tuesday when I'm off.

Baradine, you'll have to make 1 piece of charcoal to complete that action, but I'm pretty sure you have enough time to Make Charcoal and Smelt Galena and Craft Weapon all in one go.

Brew hide roots as more barrels are created.
Take up bone carving; make bolts.

Huzzah! The wiki is now up to date. Excuse me while I feel smug and self satisfied for a bit now.

Continue defending our homeland from the vile tree menace.

Trees are indeed the most feared enemies of all dwarvenkind.

Well done. However, from a DF rules point of view, what are you planning to use to get to the ceiling?

Unless somebody decides to designate something more elaborate, there will be a sandstone staircase built up outside, used to create the roof, and then deconstructed afterwards.

24th Slate, 200

Warning: Booze AND Food depletion next update!

COMPLICATION: Animal Movement

The Mountain Goats move to the eastern edge of the map, skirting wide around the entrance of Cloisteredtombs.
The solitary Deer does not move.
The Zombie Ocean Sunfish suddenly lumbers into motion, lurching up the mountain. Its ultimate destination will remain a mystery, as the behemoth spies Modul "Tweak" Mostsilver as he chops wood and lunges to the attack!

For reference, Cloisteredtombs is under assault by this, except it also happens to be a slathering zombie mindlessly seeking to rend the flesh of every living thing in its path.

Well that was one hell of a complication. Is, I should say, for now there is a giant angry zombie fish thing who doesn't have the ability to move around very well but is certainly good at crushing heads. Currently, all dwarves are inside as well as the food, but most of the produced goods and workshops are outside. The zombie cannot see any dwarf right now, and so will not charge the fortress, but any dwarf to stick his head outside will attract the creature. If necessary, I will pinpoint the exact position of the zombie and the corpses on the map.

Speaking of the map, I'm going to indicate that the former Quarry Bush field is unplanted now, as well as update the constructions built by Thikut. Stocks and so forth tomorrow.

The fortress now lacks a Militia Commander. Traditionally, dwarves grant names, epithets if you will, to any creature that manages to slay a dwarf. It is a way of honoring the might of the creature, and by extension the victim. If you guys come up with a good name for the Zombie then that is what it shall be called, otherwise I'll just randomly gen a name.

I replant the quarry bush field, being careful not to be seen by the zombie.
