Thikut's wounds are healing nicely. After that brief examination, Rodicurst races his patient to the Mason's shop and easily beats him. Grabbing some Sandstone, Rodicurst makes a rock throne and table, and drags them down to a nice little corner at z-2 and sets up his office there. He then quickly polishes off some work orders before hunkering down to begin updating the stockpile records.

[6] Thikut's wounds are healing nicely, and he has regained his ability to grasp with his left hand. The arm is still a bit weak, but it's clear sailing here on out. After his doctor visit, Thikut heads to the mason's shop where, after waiting for the doctor to finish, he uses a hunk of Sandstone to make a statue of himself.
"This is a statue of a dwarf and wolves. The wolves are making a plaintive gesture. The dwarf is laughing. This statue relates to the slaughter of wolves by Thikut Itdunkul in Cloisteredtombs in the spring of 200."
A little -well, more than a little- rough around the edges, but it is important to capture the history of Cloisteredtombs, especially in these early days, and ESPECIALLY when you're the hero of the story! Leaving the statue in the Mason's shop, he begins beating rats to death with his crossbow.

Haven shaken the rust off of his sword-arm, Dan decides to give it a real workout by stabbing something to death. Looking out across the landscape, he spies a deer and takes off in pursuit. Dan is fast, but the deer is faster and manages to stay just out of reach. Unfortunately for the deer, Dan is a dwarf, and even by dwarven standards he is slow to tire. Deer's gotta sleep sometime...
Kilakan has informed me that he's too busy to play right now, although he may return in the future. Until such time his character Khan, Metalsmith is an NPC. I plan to do some extra work on how NPC's work and interact with the fortress and one another.
Although Vermin can be used as food, it is nothing you would want to save unless you have a taste for it. Especially not when barrels are so valuable.
I did indeed update those constructions earlier, though I haven't updated
the map yet. I'm learning, just slowly.
