Tulon Lensstream, Hunter, Thikut Itdunkul, Marksdwarf, and Vismil Blackhoof, Hammerdwarf vs WOLVES
JOBS: ELIMINATE LUPINE THREAT
The fledgling military of Cloisteredtombs meets in the barracks as they gear up to face the fortress's first threat- the Wolves. Quivers bristling, they stride out into the rainstorm to do battle with the lupine menace.
Upon approaching the murky pool, the wolves surge forward, snarling jaws snapping in anticipation of delicious dwarf meat. Tulon swiftly notches a bolt [6]+4-1(rain) vs [2]+2 which strikes the first wolf in the head, [3] piercing the skin and tearing through the jaw muscle! Thikut notches his bolt a bit more clumsily [3]+4+1-1 vs [4]+2 and strikes the second wolf in the front left paw, [3] piercing the skin and tearing the muscle!
The wolves a bit less than half the distance to the warriors of Cloisteredtombs, though Wolf 1 is not doing well.
Tulon gets his second shot off almost immediately thereafter [1]+4-1 vs [1]+2 striking the second wolf in the front right paw, [2] opening a long cut across it. Thikut fires off his second shot [5]+4+1-1 vs [2]+2, striking the third wolf in the head, [6] piercing the skin and jamming the skull through the brain! The wolf has been struck down!
The wolves get close to melee range, and Vismil charges forward to hold the pack at bay.
Tulon's third shot [3]+4-1 vs [6]+2 flies wide of the mark, but Thikut [6]+4+1-1 vs [4]+2 nails the second wolf in the lower body, [6] and the severed part flies off in an arc! The wolf has been struck down! Vismil charges the fourth wolf [4]+3+3+1(charge) vs [4]+2 and hammers it in the skull, [4]+3 and the severed part flies off in an arc! The wolf has been struck down!
The remaining 3 wolves suffer a critical morale failure at this juncture and scatter. Tulon's agility allows him to fire a fourth bolt [2]+4-1 vs [4]+2 but the shot flies wide- after that the wolves are able to use the cover of the trees to exit the map entirely.
The warriors return the corpses to the butchers shop, then enjoy a much earned rest.

NPC JOB: HAUL SHIT
Omo aids Onyxbone in his quest to make more barrels, increasing his barrel making rate somewhat.
Whoo killing things! I'll do stocks and XP tomorrow afternoon as this update took me longer than expected (damn you Vista!)
Shadow, I plan to handwave all the spots being sown/not sown at the same time until/unless the situation arises that only half a plot is planted. My thought for farm differentiation is putting a representation of the appropriate crop in the center tile, and it would make
this sexy map even prettier. Hopefully at this time next week I'll be able to contribute to that in a meaningful way.
