7th Slate, 200

The rat swarm has abated, stemmed by the efforts of dwarf and feline alike. One week from today BOOZE DEPLETION will occur.

Kilakan has informed me that he's too busy to play right now, although he may return in the future. Until such time his character Khan, Metalsmith is an NPC. I plan to do some extra work on how NPC's work and interact with the fortress and one another.

Although Vermin can be used as food, it is nothing you would want to save unless you have a taste for it. Especially not when barrels are so valuable.

I did indeed update those constructions earlier, though I haven't updated the map yet. I'm learning, just slowly. :D

Stocks to come, yadda yadda yadda, did I mention the bisque?

Create a 3x3 drawbridge in front of the entrance to the fortress, raising towards the ramp.

Hey, apparently I'm not so busy. Since the walls got done last week by Monk, I'm going to assume I don't need to help set the construction tiles. Is someone going to take care of placing the table in z-2? What about the drawbridge (when it is done, an under construction drawbridge is a bunch of '+' tiles, and is thus confusing)?

Also, what of my suggestion to connect the tower from the inside and just have a ramp leading to it, walling it off entirely from the outside.

Best summary of Dwarf Fortress:
I'm fairly certain every path in the game leads to some sort of massive execution.

That would work out quite a bit better.

Hey Monk, don't forget that constructing stone walls depends on the Masonry skill.

STOCKS

ANIMALS
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

UNIT LIST
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Population of Cloisteredtombs: 7 Players, 3 NPC

I'm rather busy with the onset of the holidays, so tomorrow's update might be more like Thursday's update.

Constructions need the masonry skill to be active if they are built with stones; however, unless the building also requires Architecture the job grants no experience.

I think that a 3x3 pig tail farm to the east of the other farms is in order.

I don't have a clue how to update  the map to reflect the presence of a bridge, but I've done the constructions and highlighted where the gem cluster is for your consideration.

Stocks to come, and Happy Holidays!

Mining added, and I also corrected an issue with the ground walls by splitting the wiki table. Is there supposed to be a gap in the northeast corner, or what?

Also, bridges are basically floor tiles surrounded by walls. The only way to differentiate them from walls is that they don't connect to nearby walls.

EDIT: Shadowfury333 cancels Place Bridge: object* blocking site
