Also, why is everyone eating lunch, stop, we have food shortage.
I assume they are making up for lost blood.

How deep is that irrigation tunnel going to be?

I'd prefer z-level -2.

Can we tell if the river is that deep? If it is, then yes, -2 sounds good to me.

You can't tell how deep it is yet, the ice is opaque.

It really should be at least that deep regardless, or I'll need to waste too much time bracing the tunnel.

Ideally it should probably be at the bottom level. If the river's that deep, one or two more z-levels won't be a major increase in how much we need to do.

Could one of our masons get us two coffins for the burials? I realize Mikhail wasn't very popular for obvious reasons, but I'd at least like to get him a sarcophagus instead of just dumping him in the woods.

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

You want it, you make it.  I don't see anybody other than me even worrying about burying them (and even I'm only doing shallow graves because I want to do other things/wish nothing but ill on Mikhail's corpse)

At least burying them would be best, rotting meat could attract predators.

Hence why I am burying them, they don't deserve wooden coffins though, wood is limited and soon I'll need to start making wooden fittings and such and we still need more beds so that people aren't sleeping on the ground and getting cranky and stuff.

Edit:  Who are we waiting for, I'm excited now that we're finally getting back into the swing of things.

Excluding me, we are missing two of the immigrants.

Also, we need a new poll

"Should the fortress be built up into the cliffs, or down, into the earth?"  Maybe throw in a both option too, I dunno.

If somebody misses their turn, Litast or Kogan can give them instructions.

Both.
Military should go up, industry down, with domestic staying near the surface.
Just my opinion, anyway.
