I actually completely endorse Lilast for the role, she has a much better skill set for running a settlement than I do.  I make a decent person who gets things done no matter the cost, but if it were up to my dwarf to smoothly run an entire settlement of up to 49 others, I don't think we'd make it.  She just doesn't have the social skills and would probably try to duck responsibilities to work on her own side-projects.

Edit:  I should probably do an action or something.  Continue attempting to whittle a dwarf figurine.  ((Also perform a status check on hunger, thirst, temperature, mood, and tiredness.))

I shall talk to everyone, hoping to make a profile for each. I also pet the kitty.

I'd be happy with going East.

Also, as a slightly educated dwarf, I have heard plenty of stories of fortresses doomed by kittens. I also know that it's entirely within dwarven law to murder kittens as long as it's done indirectly through some sort of a trap.

My puppy shall be named Uthmikkesh!

Also, if my forge tools were swapped for crafter tools, shouldn't those be at +1?

Gar: shares booze with the other expeditionists and they tell stories.

it looks like enough people have voted to name CoughDrop our leader.  9 out of 11 (if the GM voted)

I would probably vote for the east path, for the forests, but traveling through human lands sounds fun too.  Besides, Tongsletter is not a decider.

Though it is a close election with much shouting and crying, Lilast eventually is made Expedition Leader. They get to wear an extra-tall hat to help recognise them, but nobody has to follow her orders if they don't want to.

The next official business is which path to take.

Wait, it was Fuzzy Zergling's forge that was swapped. It's no-quality.

Apparently having a redundant creature entry causes the game to say, "Oh, look, it's crazy world now. Nothing makes sense! Alligators live in houses!"

I didn't vote for who the leader is, so my notion of not caring has been made assured.

At the next rest stop I'll collect some lumber from any nearby trees using my hatchet, if the owner doesn't mind, I'll use the golem to help haul the lumber back before we have to leave again.

"Stranger-Danger!" says Sandow

*Ill supervise, and let the golem pick up branches but no heavy work.  i instruct it about stranger danger, and to go really really slow if anybody else tries to tell it what to do. I teach it to swear

*I tell Ochita about my plans to carve an enormous middle finger into the mountainside to really piss off the locals. but that im willing to entertain better ideas for how to draw attention to the fortress.

Oh good, you showed up. If you didn't post soon I would have had the golem go berserk and carry you and your chickens off into  swamp.

You try to teach it to swear, but it has no vocal abilities. You teach it some gestures, though.
Of course it can hear you.

I'll be back with more actions and a fantastic relationship chart!

I think we should be going west, it seems like a better choice because we have a high density of crafters.

Sandow votes to whichever path gets them to the fortress the fastest
