Gar trips over Rolan and slides over the pressure plate on his belly.

I'm OK with this.

Gar, if we live through this, I swear I'm going to use you as fertilizer when we get to the embark location.

Smack Gar, "This is NOT the time for you to be acting a fool! Now everyone calm down so we can get to the bottom of this without someone dying."

Gar gets bodily picked up and thrown by a variety of hands, landing on then sliding off the pressure plate. A missile fires, but it misses and doesn't trigger again. He comes to a halt near the middle of the room. Sandow's chicken breaks loose and begins to run around the room, but it seems to be too light to trigger anything.

Apparently having a redundant creature entry causes the game to say, "Oh, look, it's crazy world now. Nothing makes sense! Alligators live in houses!"

"See, was it really so bad that I came here?" He'll stay sitting on the plate so it doesn't trigger again, while the others cross.

You travelled over the plate, the ground that you're currently on seems stable.

Oh, okay. In which case I'll take a look around, but I'll try not to touch anything.

"I say, once again, I think Kogan should be the one to try and identify the traps. Say 'aye' if you agree, though he doesn't have to do it if he doesn't want to."

"Well here goes nothing. . ."  If Gar gives the all clear for the floor next to him, get a running start and jump to the spot next to him.  Also, hold my shield up to my face, just to be on the safe side.

I'll call skirmish chicken back for Sandow, then jump to where Gar is.

Gar feels around, but can't find any more traps nearby. The rest of you take leaps across the trap, avoiding any more missile fire. You're clustered loosely around the middle, and have discovered another pressure plate across the opposite doorway. You don't know what it does, and hopefully won't find out.

Another examination of the room reveals nothing at all. The pressure plates are indistinguishable from the rest of the stone, the only indication being when you place weight on it. Sandow's chicken has been recaptured.
