Gar: Sorry, I missed that. Having realised I've been left alone and thinking back to what people were talking about as I tinkered, I'll rush in noisily behind them with my dagger on my belt and a few tools in case anything artifacty is about :D Naturally, I'll do my best to charge through to them as carelessly as possible

Mikhail bravely steps forward, and gets shot in the chest from the side by some sort of projectile. It pricks his skin through the chainmail, then falls to the ground and shatters from the impact.

Norrec pulls him back, and examines the ground. There's a pressure plate right on the entrance, which you get Kogan to check more closely. He informs you that he has no way to stop it lowering, but its extent seems limited to the area directly outside the corridor.  You could leap over it left, right or forward, but you might land on another trap. You almost get the choice made for you when Gar bursts in panting and almost knocks you forward.

Place Gar on the trap and let him soak up the crossbow bolts projectiles for us, because he nearly made me do the same.

Having dove out of Gar's way, pick myself up off the ground and continue to watch the entrance behind us with crossbow ready.

Facepalm "Gar, if you promise to be more careful, I think you should try leading us through this passage as you are the most experienced with mechanical devices." Whoops, I meant Kogan. Is he with us?

Edit: Well, I know his character is with us, but I think I should ask him first seeing as it would be quite dangerous to go first.

Kogan is the one that examined the trap.

Gar trips over Rolan and slides over the pressure plate on his belly.
