There is no more arrow fire from the boulders. After putting some more distance between them, Kog wraps Norrec's wounds in bandages, not daring to do any more without proper tools. While some carry/guard Norrec, Kogan runs back to the camp and gets everybody else to set up Kog's surgery slab.

Well, have him patch me up and clean the wounds, I ain't going to get better from random twigs stickin' out of me all by myself.

(I did what now?)

Once norrec is over the walls and away from danger, Sandow says "No golem! carry him over the shoulder and put him in a bed carefully next time" "dwarves are fragile!"

I go get norrec a bucket of water
EDIT: ps. (can you tell me when the hunting dog is fully trained?)

Norrecs wounds were not as bad as they could have been. She had protected her head from harm, and the padded leather armour helped slow down the arrows. Further, her cleanliness significantly reduced her chances of infection. Fortunately enough the chipped bone and stone heads used were not barbed, poisoned or even exceptionally sharp, but the little shortbows had driven them with plenty of force.

Still, the sheer number of punctures meant a lot of blood loss and pain. The surgery took the rest of the night, finishing at dawn. Kog cut the arrows off, then surgically removed each one. Soap was used to clean the wounds before being shut. The bandages were re-applied over them.

Provided Norrec can avoid losing any more fights she should be completely healed in a few weeks. For now she'll be faint from blood loss, be in constant pain and potentially pass out from overexertion, and the leg wounds force her to hobble about, though resting would be ideal. Her right arm is also less than suitable for working with.

-1 Soap
-10 Bandages

Well. . .  I think this calls for a schedule change.

Midnight-10:  Sleep
10-11:  Breakfast
11-1:  Work
1-2:  Lunch (Water and Mudworm Paste)
2-4:  Sleep
4-6:  Socialize and Plan
6-7:  Dinner
7-9:  Prayers offered to Hipobis
9-11:  Work
11-12:  Sleep

Work:  Turn Shells into Necklaces/Pendants/Rings in equal number, if I begin to feel over-exerted, socialize instead.

Plan:  Begin working on plans for expanding the fortress into the cliffs and where my bar might best be situated.

Socialize:  Take a walk around camp and talk to everybody.  Contemplate building a set of crutches for myself.

NOTE:  I'm only taking 3 meals for recovery.

Golem can't charge on its own, someone needs to be right there escorting it. Plus, relying on shocking the kobolds into inaction is rather optimistic, and I think Norrec's shown how overly optimistic hopes can go.

*shrug*  Well if he made some sort of harness, he could ride the Golem into battle.  He wouldn't be able to get off of it though, which might be a problem.

They are KOBOLDS. The vermin of the earth. I doubt they have enough intelligence to negotiate with, but go right ahead.

At worst, we can use the negotiations as a way to get inside the base.
