We'll just say we used coal, they won't care if it's coal.  We're dwarves after all daggnabit.

Also, Hastur, we're not to a place where we can afford to have people dig separate bedrooms.  We're putting the bedrooms up a level anyhow and getting the main farm area dug out.  Once the main farm area is dug out and we have sustainable farms set up, by all means, please mine out your own bedroom, until then, we should act as a group.

I'm mildly annoyed that the non-military dwarf will be claiming the chainmail, should we ever find it.

Excuse me, were you murdered?  No, mmkay then.  Besides, I'm practically part of the military, skilled brawler, novice marksman, novice siege operator, as well as hugely helpful traits for combat.  Also, I've been going out hunting and very well could have died the first time I was exploring the demon cave.  Death comes to find me almost constantly it seems and I need to be ready to stare it down.

Noble: Militia
Merchant: Useless
Artisan: Useless
Military: Pro Soldier
Servant: Useless
Peasant: Militia
Surfacer: Militia
Thinker: Useless

I did plan this out, you know.

I know, I'm just explaining why I'm taking the Chainmail, if he wants to be the one with death knocking at his door though, I'll let him take the Chainmail.  Then I can stop being paranoid and sleeping in the middle of the day.

Do we have a leatherworker? If so we could make a Coat of plates.

So, padded cloth or leather with metal plates sewn in? Sure, why not. It'll be a bit worse than Chain, but require less resources and provide crushing protection.

On the path to updating.

I have reviewed the size system, and have come to the conclusion that Carts should be able to carry 360, not 120. This comes after a careful examination of weight and volume, and I apologise for any distress those laughably small carts may have caused.

I wanted to go to the elves, too. Wasn't sure if we were heading straight out or taking time to make trade goods. Still not sure :D

Meh, I'll stay home and stick to my schedule. OOC: Got a lot on and might not have time to actively RP it. <3

As the elves say, "This".
We're leaving in three days, giving us some time to make trade goods first.  Not my original plan, but probably a lot better.

I'm great at stone crafting... Dolls of stone that look like trees? Tree engravings on my work?

Norrec: "Mildly annoyed" means that I'm saying, "Dammit, I wanted that, but you can take it." I'm a pretty laid-back guy.

Riiiiiight. So does any of us have green paint? Do the elves even know about a WARCRAFT character in a dwarf fortress world? I'll stick to nature, not dead nature.

I take it Pink "X"'s are goblin infested areas?

Also, Ochita you should take to decorating the trade goods, that way you can sell them for more (we'll need the stones to start making a defensive wall, which I think we should begin work on immediately.)
