Could we make sliding doors out of only stone? If we dug a space for them in the adjacent wall, a little track for them, and make stone rollers, it should theoretically work.

Making a roller system for a stone door that both survives use and can be opened by a single person warrants the use of fittings >_>

Apparently having a redundant creature entry causes the game to say, "Oh, look, it's crazy world now. Nothing makes sense! Alligators live in houses!"

Could it acceptably be stone fittings, though? Like, it'd take careful work to smooth the track and cut the rollers right and fit the door properly, but the only material being used would be stone. Obviously a lock wouldn't be made standardly, though there could be a bar on one side or the other that blocks the door from sliding in or out, depending on where the door's positioned.

"Adil, don't be that way! I know you're not very happy about this situation and I'm not either! That still doesnt give you the right to lash out at people! Yes, we cannot easily reach our gods but they are still our gods! WE were born with them in our childhoods so dont use their names lightly! Especially Kun's! And that Axe, it is a gift from Aexiesoen! Remember him? He gave that blessing to that and it is a crime to 'give' it to elves! Get a hold of yourself!"

*Adil seems to calm down as you reproach her, until you mention Aexiesoen.  She turns away and refuses to respond.*
I'd like to come visit the elves as well. And if we could bring the golem to help us carry, that'd be great.

Can we all spend a day or two making trade goods and something to carry them in? If this becomes the plan, I'll repost my schedule.

"You would?  Well... thanks.  I suppose I can wait a couple of days."

*Urist is surprised at her reaction, and looks away.*
"I'm.. Sorry. But... Why are you reacting like this about that god? Did.. Something happen?"
*Seeing as there is no responce*
"Fine.. I'll just go."

*Looks back with a pained expression*
"Urist... I don't hate you, please don't think that.  I, I just..."

*Turns to Athor, appraising the "unthreatening" military dwarf*
"Athor, I'm soooo sorry to have disturbed your rest.  I'm going to trade with the elves so we don't starve in the cold, you can go back to bed for all I care."

*Looks at Athor in surprise, her rage faltering.*
"Well uh, you're welcome!  ...Sleep well! *angry muttering*"
*Feels foolish, goes to pack*

*Looks with a confused expression*
"Ummm... Adil, let me help.."
*Feels...... Really confused*
"If.. If you would have me join you while your trading, that would be really nice, considering what just happened."

*surprised*
"You want to come with?  Urist, I'm so glad to hear that, of course you can!  I thought... well, when would you like to leave?  Should we wait for Gar to put some goods on a pack animal, or should we hurry and leave by foot, or what?"
