Idea: Mount crystal to pole thirty feet up the face of the cliff. Harvest corpses of falling abominations.

Norrec starts firing her crossbow into the portal while screaming at it. She is held back from further escapades by other members, while Tholtig contemplates something most likely harmless and fun.

The portal takes up most of the end of the tunnel wall. It is about as tall as a human, and is black with purple swirls. It seems both deep yet flat at the same time and keeps throwing off little flares and sparks every so often. The crystal is still in the wall to the right of it, but now glowing with energy.

NEW PLAN, steal back my sword from Ochita and begin trying to damage the crystals powering the portal, IT MUST BE CLOSED!!!  ((Also avoid touching the portal, stand as far away as possible))

"Calm down! We need to figure out more about what's going on before we act so brash!"

"It's obvious what is going on, AN INVASION.  I MUST STOP IT, I MUST!"

Smack Norrec across the face with a glove and glower at her. "You need to calm down, now. We don't know if these things are hostile or not, and your actions may well cause them to attack us."

Turn to the group. "Everyone out, now. We will seal the cave as best we can, then figure out the best option for dealing with this...oddity."

Yay for down-to-earth sanity.

While everybody is focused on Norrec, Urist falls through the portal.

I suggest my "harvest them for sustanence" idea.
Tie the crystal to a spear, then lob it up as high as possible.
This plan cannot possibly fail!
