Like I said, the first priority is to get the floodgate installed. After that, we can worry about supporting the tunnel and what we'll line it with.

Idea for pipe/support:

Basically, box with an X-shape inside to support the stuff above and still allow water to flow.

Just try resending it, whatever it was.

Yeah, we literally only have to dig out two squares and put a floodgate in place to take advantage of the river being frozen. We don't have to dig into the ice, even, we can just dig out next to it.

yeah, but digging down in the ice would probably be our best bet for an easy time, I'm betting ice is easier to break than stone/dirt so, you know, probably wouldn't take nearly as long as the granite we've been trying to dig through.

Easier than stone, harder than dirt, I'm guessing.

I can tell you right now Ochita, I won't be making it back until 7 PM from my hunting expedition.  I'm bringing deer meat and a trained horse with me however.

Also, I believe we all agreed to go down to 2 rations a day.

Ration changes will occur on day 5, not day 4.

"Please don't say why each of you should get a third meal. If one person gets to eat a third, then everyone else will complain. We need to just work on getting food now so we won't have problems down the road."
