... no not really.  That kind of stuff would be too noticeable.  What you want to do is steal things that aren't used all the time/purely decoration.  That way it'll take longer for the people to notice and by then you'll have disappeared into the night.

Apparently having a redundant creature entry causes the game to say, "Oh, look, it's crazy world now. Nothing makes sense! Alligators live in houses!"

EDIT: Also, I was going to point out that Gar's pretty stable, but he did in fact leap into the darkness to rescue his friends. So... you win this round, but you know what they say. In a crazy world, a sane man's crazy. :D

Wouldn't you want a second-in-command who would be willing to leap into the darkness to rescue you? :D

Also, in DIGGING PLAN GAR-ALPHA, +s are doors and the v is a mark for where a future magma channel will be built once we hit deep magma and build a really tall pumpstack - more magma channels will be built to the right for smelters and stuff. Either that or the fortress eventually moves down. When we first hit magma the likelihood is that we temporarily build workshops down there.

Temporary, we ought to just move the whole thing down, it'd be easier than the endless pump stacks we'd need, although since this is a modified DF we might be able to get away with a more complex mechanism so we wouldn't have to do pump stacks.

It's a tough race, and Norrec *did* try to slay me, but she kinda had a reason.  I like the idea that the second in command should be rather bloodthirsty capable of justified violence.  Also, good traits for reliability.

Sheesh, kill a few defenseless hoods who would have done the same to me and I get marked as bloodthirsty for life.  Granted, my killing of all the guards in the dukes manor was less justifiable, but you saw how even just one was able to hold Lilli and me for three turns until the GM had mercy on us and had him run away.  If I didn't take them out the Duke probably would have stumbled on us and killed us for uncovering his plot to take steal from the expedition.  Ah well, what can you do about it?

You should vote for me. I'm unlikely to kill any miner who brings back precious blue metals.

(Sorry for the long delay everyone. Had a busy day yesterday with family. Reading through about 4 pages of posts and taking down notes of suggestions now. Also, posting schedule.)

I have an Idea for hot baths...

I mine out a room, and make a large bowl cut from the rock supported by 4 natural rock pillars, I then make a exit pipe and a hatch so water can drain into a carved hot-tub. I can light a fire under the large rock bowl until it is hot enough then drain the water into the hot tub...

Hot is fine, hanky panky is fine, but a bath? :D
Well, I suppose it could do for swimming practice.

Hey, I'll take hot baths.  I'm cold-blooded and being surrounded by hot water couldn't hurt.  Also, I like being clean.
