If Lillipad's hard-boiled touching doesn't seem to do anything, climb on top of it to get a better view of it from above.

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

If nobody else can pass, Litast will throw a knife into the corridor to see if it only blocks out living entities.

Urist tries to enter through the sealed passage, but just gets shocked a little. Gar steps forward and attempts to break in, but it's all magical and stuff. Litast shoos them away, and hurls a knife at it. It bounces away harmlessly.

Mikhail touches the black symbol with a gloved hand, and the passage seems to flare a little, scaring Urist and Gar away. Nobody gets hurt, though.

I'll continue my probing of the symbol.

Gar: stands back to let people with any magical knowledge do something.

Urist tries to combine the carving with his fragment, but they appear to be completely unrelated and nothing happens.

Mikhail continues touching the carving. It is definitely linked to the barrier in some way. Touching it makes it flare, but does not make it passable.

Attempt to trace my hands across the pattern of the raised symbol.

"Well, since it's flaring, perhaps water or alcohol is the key? Either way, this is obviously a lock and all we need is to figure out what the key is."

I have nothing to add, so look at the symbols again, just to see if it really is gold and strippers or if I'm just terribly misreading it.  While examining, pray to Hipobis Giltgold to give me guidance through this trial.

I'll leave the others to their own machinations, for the time being I'll go mess around with the walls in a hard-boiled manner.

Trace the shape of one of the wall symbols onto black idol.

Lacking any sort of knowledge or particular interest in this underground treasure trove, play with Denrhymed.
I actually am enjoying this crawl, I just don't think my character is, or has anything to contribute other than a spooky cat.

Of course! Denrhymed probably has all sorts of knowledge of the Dark Arts.

Denrhymed plays it safe and innocent when he/she knows that non-puppets are around. I attempted to play hard-boiled chess with him/her before, remember?
