The annoying part for me is that the majority of the "scare" derived from the series lately *is* Masky in origin, which is to say, not much "scare" at all. Hopefully now that

I have a pretty solid stance on the normal: It's all in your head.

Yeah, it's one hell of a ghost story. It's in the deepest depths of Uncanny Valley, can go just about anywhere seen or unseen at will, and the claw/tendrils are something from everyone's worst nightmares. High octane nightmare fuel, to be sure.

The whole walking into the bedroom thing scared the hell out of me. The idea of just waking up with your door mysteriously wide open.
Wonder if there is some slender-man like thing out there from another dimension or something. Scary shiz.

Oh, that isn't the worst part. To me, the worst part is when Jay gets up in the middle of the night, and opens his bedroom door...but the camera on the other side of the door shows it as remaining closed, and Jay vanishes for three hours. A close second would be the depths of Brian's house and whatever weird building it's somehow connected to. Slenderman isn't the only thing with eldritch properties in Marble Hornets, and that's terrifying.

Not so bad if you noticed the visual tearing right before.

When I was first watching it, something distracted me so I never saw the visual distortions. That resulted in an epic shatbrix moment that kept me up for at least one night.

Is that slender man standing at the window in entry#17? He's stood there for quite a while and nobody notices, hard to make out his head but you can see what looks like a suit.

Is that where they are filming right in front of a window and he's right behind them?

If so, then yes. yes it is.

Fan theories currently favor you not being able to see the slenderman if he doesn't want you to see him.

So he could be right behind you or outside your window right now.
