Best Dwarf Fortress music?

What music do you listen to while you play DF? For me its either Jonathan Coulton or Metallica, depending on the state of affairs (normal = Coulton) (Fun = Metallica, especially the s&m album)

Dwarven economics are still in the experimental stages. The humans have told them that they need to throw a lot of money around to get things going, but every time the dwarves try all they just end up with a bunch of coins lying all over the place.

I just read that entire thread. Did you ever make a version with the lyrics?

You do not understand the ways of Toady One. He is not a business, he's just a guy trying to make a fun game. He's invited people to come along and experience the journey with him (and help him test it out as he goes along). At the end of the day, I don't think his main goal is to sell Dwarf Fortress, its just to create the best game possible.

Can we just sticky one of these threads and have done with it?

Never used Dwarf Therapist, mods or tilesets in all the years I've been playing.
I think Toady's confusing interface better simulates the experience of a bunch of disorganised drunken dwarves running a fort.

Depending on the mood, either lots of electronica to help me melt into the Matrix or a lot of Wagner/opera.

Those two songs go really good with DF

Jusman, did you post on the thread like this I made on the adventure forum?

Or are you just a 3rd person who thinks Bards Song goes really well with DF?

Oh man it would be so epic if we could make a lyrics version. Everyone who wanted could sing a verse and then get as many people as we can to record them singing the chorus and merge them all together. EDIT: And of course get everyone to yell BOATMURDERED!!

Also the song reminded me of the Irish Drinking Song game from Whose Line is it Anyway?

But I guess I'm getting a little of topic  :P
