I go to bed any time after one and have my alarm set for 7:45 playing track three.
Three gets my attention, then when four starts at 7:50, I usually wake because it's a much louder song.

I woke at 1pm, due to one of my neighbors buzzing my apartment, and a strange, lost old man in a Carhart jacket wandering outside my door. I really need to stop staying up until ~7am the night prior.

Had a series of good dreams, though, and yesterday was a very good day. Provided I can take care of a few issues, today will be a good one too.

Living in the basement I'm in a similar situation. Thermal vest and boots make it a lot more bearable though.

Last night got cold enough to numb my hands a bit, but usually even the coldest nights it will be really hot in my room until I wake up the next day (if it's early).

It's only usual cold around 4am-8am.

The heat barely works too, only downstairs.
