I'm feeling very happy. I got a phone call this morning, and my bid for the pub was successful. So my life is going to take a new direction, as long as all the technicalities work out.

You gained ownership of a pub? CONGRATS MAN!  :D

Make sure to serve good beer.
Thanks mate. The Beer's gonna be awesome. The pub is a genuine free house, so I can serve exactly what I want. I'm going to serve nine or so real ales, and maybe four different farmhouse ciders. Depending on finance, I might not do draught lager or cider for the first six months. Going to try to sell a huge range of world beers, mostly Belgian, American and German. The pub is in Bristol, UK.

If we head to Bristol on our trip in 5 weeks time I'll head over there.

Too young to drink but I'd love to see it.

It would be great if the pub is open in five weeks time, but unfortunately I doubt it. I shall have to work fast to hmake it happen. It's currently closed and needs fitting out fully. Bristol is great. Lots of good pubs and stuff.

Morning. My clock is an hour late. I almost miss the bus.
First class. My physics theacher promises me a 9 as my grade for this half of the year, even though I've had 10's from both of the tests.

Second class, mathematic's tests are handed back. 8+. Fourth best in the class, but it means an 8 as my grade. Probably. Also, I notice my wallet is missing.

Third class. Biology's tests are handed back. 8½. Probably 9 as my grade.

Fourth class. Migraine strikes. I go home. Three hours later I am typing this.

Bleh.

Ditto. I usually get the creeping crud whenever the weather finally turns cold in the autumn, or warm in the spring. My sinuses look like a New York subway map (the technical term is "deranged sinuses" -- incidentally, also a great band name) so when they swell even a bit, my head plugs up and I wind up sounding and feeling like I've just chain-smoked three packs of cigarettes.

Winter here is best when its sunny and not windy at all.

Any wind at all makes walking depressingly cold.
You have a point. It's blowing gales today and my sinuses are now sore as hell.

You know what wind chill is?

Its gods middle finger stabbing you everywhere that is not currently covered by a plastic wind breaker.

The wind seeps through everything else.

Wind breakers are stupid, trenchcoats are much more stylish options.

Nikov agrees with me on this.

Up here in Canada we take functionality over fashion dying horribly.

Trenchcoats are badass. Especially in rain. And thick ones have definite functionality when it hails in UK. I'd wear one, but I've never actually seen anybody wearing one around here and if it isn't raining (and I don't have a revolver) I'd just look weird.

I'm actually doing damn good today.

My back, which has been hurting me for about two weeks now, is finally healing.  It doesn't hurt to stand/sit/walk today, which is very nice.

After about a month of frantic, confusing, complicated work; things are finally slowing down some.  My big task for the day is simply to get some new equipment mounted in the rack.  Nice, simple, mindless work.  Very relaxing.

My new diet is working relatively well.  I'm feeling better, have more energy, feel less crappy.

So...  Yeah...  Good day.
