 after about 10cm it exits into a slightly wider tube with tubes of varying sizes going into it. There are arrows saying SURFACE EXIT in one direction.

Check to see if any of the other tubes have signs or arrows or directions. If no check to see if we can locate some sort of map on the tube system. If no then take the tube labelled surface exit.

Speak: Hey, might you be able to locate some sort of map of the tube system hereabouts please?

I'm running a very similar sister thread on another forum (it's easy to find, if requested I'll even post a link, but it's not recommended because it contains OOC spoilers and any text of value will sooner or later be reposted here most likely anyway), the exact relationship between these may be a plot point later

 You simply grab onto the inside of the tube you came from with what is currently your backwards end, and rapidly pull your front in and out of the various tubes quickly exploring the System. It seems to be a kind of hangar for small bots, and is fairly straightforward and uninteresting in layout. You request a minimap like you remember from one of your tutorials, but it just complains somehting called "Comprehensive IDE" is ofline.

You follow the signs towards the exit, and rive at what appears to be a miniature airlock (of coarse it doesn't seem small to you because you're rather small to.). Kind of funnily, it actually has manual, analogue controls in addition to normal automatic workings.

The inner door opens as normal, you slide and fold into the cramped pressure camber, and it closes. Then there is an error and the proccess stops.
You decide you continue manually, and use 3 of your tendrils to turn the handle to open the hatch out. It clicks out, but when you ousch it it is stuck.

Then a black gooey mud starts to seep in through the cracks, and you start to panic until you remember that you don't need to breath, and these tentacles makes your sense of touch good enough to stand in for vision in most cases. The gap seems ALMOST wide enogh that you may be able to push through it...

There is a whole bunch of it spread around the probe. Printing, reading, manipulating, injection into cells and artificial ribosomes, even complete synthesizing of living cells from inorganic components, you name it and it's there.

You coil yourself and push with your entire body on the hatch. With a slow, slurping, suction-y sound it opens a bit more, letting out all the gas inside in a transformed bubble and submerging you completely.
tendrils tightly kept together to keep mud out of your eye you push outward into the mud like some kind of worm. This body is not at all made for these conditions, and you can not perceive anything, or even tell which direction is up. The mud seems to be uniform in all direction, with the occasional pebble or streak of coarse sand. You keep your back end in contact with the airlock door so you don't lose track of it.
