Night 1
----------------------------------------
CriptfiendYou are sitting in your home, pondering the strange events and fretting over the consequences. You mourn the loss of a good townsperson and briefly toy with the idea of calling on SHAD0Wdump's spirit to talk.
Before you can begin your work, however, you hear a knock at the door. Curiosity outweighs fear - who and why are they here, you ask yourself as you head for the door. Opening it just a crack, you see...Toaster? You open the door wider as you recognize him, beckoning him in as a good host.
You turn away to allow him to come in and hear a strange whirring noise, similar to a build-up of energy. Before you can turn there is a bright flash and your world goes black.
You have been killed, and your soul slips away to limbo...
http://www.quicktopic.com/45/H/NFjfExgbPCSEEdurenYou flex your claws in anticipation for the night's activities, slipping out of your house and rendezvousing with your partner Ottofar. After a silent exchange to finalize plans, he slips off into the night to protect your leader, webadict.
After a few seconds, you head off after him, staying out of sight and ready to leap to his aid if he comes under attack. He makes it safely to webadict, however, and your services are not needed this night.
JanusTwoFaceYou sit in your lab, tinkering with the finer parts of your Assassin Bot. A well-built, oiled and tuned killing machine, it is. T'would be a waste to let it sit in this lab and rust, you muse to yourself.
So why waste it?
You pull out your PDA and quickly program a target into the Bot: Org. It acknowledges with a beep its receipt of your orders and sets off into the night.
Several minutes later, your PDA receives an update that simply states:
MISSION: ACCOMPLISHED. You smirk to yourself and go to bed.
Kamina SquirtleYou finish strapping on your boots and make sure that your jacket is snug; it's going to be a long, cold night. You slip out of your home and take the back roads until you arrive at the home of your charge, Jim Groovester.
After a bit of looking around, you find a good place to settle in and be comfortable. You prepare yourself for a long night of watching over him, though in the end your abilities were not put to use.
Ah well. Someone had to do it, right?
Mr.PersonYou decided a while ago that you would not be going to sleep tonight until you had satisfied your curiosity. Your investigative talents should help you this time around.
The night falls and you sneak out of your house, determined to investigate Zathras. You arrive at his flat and poke around for a bit, making sure to keep an eye on him from outside the house. After an hour or two, however, you can safely conclude that he is a
human, and not one of those creatures.
Satisfied, you head home for the night.
MysteriousbluepuppetThe town is in danger, that's for sure. Luckily, you're a pretty skilled fighter yourself, and you know you can take care of anything that comes your way.
In fact, you could probably take care of anything that came someone
else's way too. But who?
You pick webadict out of the crowd and decide that it is he who will receive your guardianship tonight. When the sun sets, you make your way over to his place and stand watch. After a few hours of nothing happening, you begin to realize that your services aren't necessary this evening, though you stick it out til the end.
When the sun begins to rise and nothing has happened to webadict, you decide to go home.
OrgYour armchair is particularly comfy as you sink into it this evening. Too much has happened in the past two days for you to truly relax, but this is a nice start.
You begin to ponder the day's events, and you find yourself thinking about SHAD0Wdump's unfortunate demise. You could always speak to him from beyond the threshold of this world, you realize, but that might be a misuse of your powers. You have a feeling that they're going to be needed a lot in the coming days.
As you sit in your chair, however, you hear a buzzing noise followed by the crash of glass breaking. You leap up and spin around to see a small metal man staring at you over the barrel of its rotating vulcan gun, and the last thing you can think is that your death is utterly ironic before the bullets tear into you.
You have died, and your soul slips away...
http://www.quicktopic.com/45/H/NFjfExgbPCSEOttofarIt's hard to contain your glee as you creep out of the home of the man you consumed. Running free in the town with your allies, killing and eating to your heart's content? Heaven.
You meet up with Eduren before you race off to webadict. You feel secure knowing there's another of your kind at your back, which makes it all the more easy for you to feel ready to guard your third team member. Soon enough, you're in position to watch webadict's back for the night.
Sadly, nothing happens. When dawn comes, you head back home to sulk.
PandarsenicYou lick your fangs hungrily as you prepare to head out for the night. You have been charged with the killing tonight, and you won't let your team down.
Besides, you're getting rather hungry.
Sure that your allies are in position and ready to go, you take a step towards the door. When your foot hits the ground, however, it feels as though the world falls away. Dizzy, you sink to one knee and push another step forward. Soon, your head and eyes become heavy, and it is all you can do to drag yourself to the door. You prop yourself up against it before you sink into the darkest, most unrelenting sleep you have ever experienced. You will not awaken tonight.
MishYou set up your scanner at home, settling in for the night. In a few minutes you should have the results of your scan on JanusTwoFace.
As you wait, you receive an update on your government-issued cell phone. You glance it over to see that they have informed you that Mr.Person is the
Agent you have been assigned to assist. Your initial satisfaction is darkened, however, by the disclaimer stating that their sources could not identify whether or not Mr.Person is a doppleganger at this point.
A soft ping alerts you to the end of your scan. You read over the results, and it appears that JanusTwoFace is a
Human Military Scientist. You have received quite a bit of information tonight; you head to bed to mull it all over before the next day.
ToasterThese humans and their quarrels - they mean nothing to an Exterminator like yourself. Your goal is to just wipe them all out anyway, so why worry about their problems?
Before you leave your home, you set up a scanner and target it to Pandarsenic. The results should be in by the time you finish your business, so off you go.
A few minutes later, you find yourself outside of Criptfiend's home. You knock on the door, knowing he'll open for an acquaintance. When he does, you make no sign of hostility until he turns his back. When he does, you pull out your ray-gun and charge it briefly. Before Criptfiend can turn, you fire a shot into the back of his head, exterminating him and laughing quietly to yourself.
Your work done for the night, you head home and check on your scanner. Your eyes widen as you reread the information on Pandarsenic. It seems he is a
Tough Doppleganger. Interesting.
ZathrasSitting in your home, you find yourself thinking about the recent events in your town with some anxiety. You realize that it is in your power to make some kind of impact on the situation, given your somewhat unique powers; after all, no one in the town knows what you can do.
Meditating briefly, you picture a face before you: Pandarsenic. Extending your will, you visualize a chain connecting the two of you, then wrapping around him and binding him tight. After a few seconds, you feel the feedback that indicates that your warding was a success.
