they also give birth durring battle, while falling off 100 z-level cliffs, and while eating dinner. no bug, they just have it happen no matter what they are doing

They'll probably have some sort of prenatal care or something eventually.   It's clearly not a big gamebreaking issue.

You add this to the list of reasons dwarfs make poor parents, probably between alcoholism and throwing babies during fits of insanity.
