I mean dwarfs got copious amounts of alcohol for disinfection at their disposal.

Only alcohol-resistant syndromes actually infect dwarves. Dwarves themselves are so infused with alcohol that applying more alcohol would be equivalent to applying water to a human.

But are they intelligent enough to use it for that? Can they even tolerate alcohol used for non-drinking, non-cooking, non-exploding purposes?
