Starting a new fort randomly named GraniteGlory, founded by The Shelters of Sin. The leader of the expedition is a female dwarf with only a last name, as odd as it sounds. She is Ekirreksas, in our tongue she is only known as "LucidSins." I swear she must have masterminded the whole thing.

She's also been assigned head of the military, and she decided to name the first squad the Unnameable Men. Inneundos, innuendos everywhere.

A few hours ago I generated a new character in Adventure mode -- an elf named (first name) "Sunnydragons". Ten minutes later I get both my arms hacked off from a human axeman in the middle of a village somewhere. Then again, I probably shouldn't have thrown that stolen thong at the merchant...

I recently started playing, and a few of my fortress names were fun: "Splashtreaties", and currently I am working on "Onsluaghtbolts".

In Onslaughtbolts, my dwarves have been happily making wonderfully useless Artifacts, like Yak Bone Gauntlets with images of birds.

In worldgen, I finished genning my world, and looked around a bit. I found a place on the west coast called "bonerfeared" or something similar, i woulda taken screenshots but I was too distracted with the fact that half the continent was elven territory.

I got a world where one continent was called "The Steppe of Boots".

I just had a goblin siege. I sent the marksdwarves up to the battlements and had them poke at the groups close to the fort until they fled or died. Then I opened the gate to the hall of traps and waited. When there was only 2 left I ordered the whole fort to rush out and execute them for lollygagging on dwarf property. The last of them was surrounded by about 15 marksdwarves all poundering him with their wooden crossbows. I love when they do that. Nothing more fitting than a slow death with wiffle bats. It sends a message and is good training time.

He was winded, dizzy, very drowsy, in extreme pain, nauseous, and I think a couple others. I've never seen so many negative states on any unit before. His name was Ngokang Stestrakngom Goblin Spearman(?), "Ngokang Confusedoomed".

Confused and doomed.. Excellent name.

Go with the Dented Desk - yours probably will be, given how often dwarfs cause facepalms and headdesks.

I actually forgot to back up the save, and went with the Yelling Works......and became a member of the Thieves of Stuttering.

i also got a forgotten beast named "the last cat". it's a lizard...

The first weapon to be named by a dwarf in my most recent fort was PraisedMusty, which I find humorous as it was a *copper shield*. One of the first ones made within the fort, too.
Then there was The Brilliant Spire, a bismuth bronze shield. If it was a tower shield it would make some sense.
Finally, there was The Mortal Seals, a bismuth bronze mace. Oddly enough the name makes some sense, for once.

My favorite artifact name was The Incinerated Lamentation, a lignite earring. A close second would be The Skinny Slaughter, a conglomerate coffin.

There were also a few necromancer books that I found funny, such as Can Doom Save the World?, Sleep: Problems and Solutions, and finally The History of Mortality, which I had personally used to rack up over 65 kills.
