Or, if you like, the fact that every sheep in England you have observed is black does not mean that you can extrapolate to say that all sheep in England are black.  I did not say that you observed all the sheep in England, did I?

Well, anyway.  Give me a minute to think up a different argument.



All creampuffs are the same flavor.

1. If you have one creampuff, then obviously there is only one flavor.

2. If you all groups of n creampuffs are the same flavor, let's suppose you have n+1 creampuffs.  We'll prove that they're the same flavor.

3. Remove a creampuff A from your group.  Now you have n creampuffs which are all the same flavor.  Put A back, and take away B.  Now you have another group of n creampuffs, which are again all the same flavor.  Thus all of your n+1 creampuffs are of the same flavor.

4. All creampuffs are the same flavor.
