custom civ not appearing after worldgen?

So here is what I ended up with.  Feel free to try it out!  I got graphics (not mine) working also!

Two possibilities. Did you add the civ to the raws after world gen?

And two, those are some seriously messed up ethics. Murder is acceptable, unless it's your own civ, and then it's only a "personal matter?" If they didn't kill each other, other civs might have easily wiped them out.

Do you have an errorlog? It is located in the DF folder.

Tried testing it myself, and curiously the error log spits out

DARK_DWARF:Unrecognized Creature Token: BODY_DETAIL_PLAN
despite those being seemingly identical to the standard dwarf raw.

EDIT: A-ha, you never actually define the male and female castes despite going on to use [SELECT_CASTE:x].  Actually adding the castes makes the errorlog stop bitching.  Just genned a world, civ spawned fine.

Further notes: Using tile 255 makes them rather annoying to deal with.  I'm not sure having an [ATTACK_CONTACT_PERC:x] above 100 actually does anything.

Heh, the dark dwarf civ fought a war over their right to eat people.  The war's name?  The Conflict of Teeth.

I guess my only real problem now is that I cannot find these guys in adventurer mode.  I go to where the fortress should be, but it is not there.

Yeah, that happens. Toady had to remove towns to get site sprawl working, but they're going to be in the next release.

Good to know!

I am going to continute to tweak these guys to make them realllllly evil.
