I've been around for a couple months, and I'm still not sure
is there any distinction between these two sections, besides one being 7.0 and another being 11.0?
I mean, seriously, I tend to just go to both parts of the forum for exactly the same thing

Maybe Dwarf Mode = 'How To' and Questions are 'How do I ___?' It's a fine distinction but IMO the two forums 'feel' different to me, albeit with some bleedover.

Dwarf Mode Discussion is for discussing Fortress Mode.
Gameplay Questions is for questions about gameplay.

Some people don't know the difference, and post the questions in Dwarf Mode Discussion anyway.

Gameplay Questions is mainly for when you're stuck and/or figuring out the game.

Dwarf Mode is largely discussions, but questions are fine there.

Nobody makes a big deal out of it anyway.

It's the board ID.  Dwarf mode discussion is board 11(.0), gameplay questions is 7(.0).

I use mozilla, and it guesses where I'm trying to get to based on my history
if you look at the URL, dwarf mode is under 11.0, while gameplay is under 7.0

And, yes I agree, they do have slightly different feels for it, but I tend to answer the same type of question on both of the boards anyway...
