I leave the cave so I can get my mana flowing. I coat the blade of the hatchet in lightning, then rush into the cave to some
combate music and begin attacking the nearest monster with the hatchet.

The enchantment fries the thing, and nearly gets stuck. I have to kick the beast off of my hatchet from the severe burns caused by the enchantment. I kill as much with the hatchet as I can. It eventually breaks, but I luckily have more weapons. I continue fighting with the beasts until all my weapons and arrows are gone.
Trine notices my lack of weapons, so he tosses me one of his spare swords. We exterminate a few more monsters near the entrance before going further into the cave. Trine and I reach the shrine with ease. My curse mark, or whatever it is seems to have become more elaborate, and a bit larger. Trine also remarks that my natural undead properties are starting to show in the cave, even though the seal was blocking a lot of the power going to the curse.
There's a sword at the altar, Trine says that it's mine if I want it. I hand him back his spare sword and replace it with the one at the altar. It's heavy, but looks neat. There was a strange necklace hanging on the sword, but it's missing whatever went with it.
After getting back from the caves we go to see the dean, and he says the damages have been repaired, and payed for. He offers to let me stay at the academy to train as a knight. Pops always said he wanted me to be a gallant knight one day, he never said which team I had to be fighting for.
Me: "Why not, I've got nothing better to do."
Dean: "Hahah, you've got some nerves kid! You're free to do as you please, so have a look around!"
I take the dean up on his offer, and find a bulletin board in the main lobby of the school. Trine translates for me, and says I can take up jobs on that board to get some money, or extra credit on the schoolwork that doesn't involve blasting things with doom, or slicing them in half with axes. He says this board keeps the town peaceful, and happy.
Trine and I accept a few of the jobs, then I'm taken to some of the classes. I wouldn't call them boring, more like useless. I learn most of this stuff in minutes, do I really have to sit through 8 hours of this monotony? Once the practical classes begin, I really start to get into it, but one of the teachers asks to see me after class.
