This is an X of Y!! game, I just wanted to use a different type of title to differentiate this from the others I'm currently GMing in.
You were the Archknight, a hero of the people, master of all blades, and champion to the people. Your king, the traitor, promised to relieve you of your duties if you finished one final task for him. You were to help end the great war between your neighboring kingdom.
You fought long, and hard to end the war. You succeeded in this goal, bringing peace between the two kingdoms. The traitor fulfilled his end of the bargain, and you lived happily for a time. It was a year after that he announced his ascension to emperor, and began his preemptive assault on the unsuspecting kingdom.
When you tried to stop this madness, he ordered the Archknight that took your empty seat to kill you, and your loved ones. You watched everyone you cared for die in front of you that day. You saw yourself die as well. You were thrown into the pits of the underworld, awaiting the judgement the gods chose fitting to you.
Lich, the god of the undead, offered you life anew. He promised you power, happiness, and the life you had before. His one condition was revenge against the man who killed you. Lich fed on the evils the dead commit in their lives, and wants the succulence that vile man had to offer. You would be his blade, the Undeath Knight.
You consult the other gods present, and they all assure you that Lich allows one single favor to those who lead good lives. Lich gave no attempt to sweeten his words, he wanted only the evils of man to feed upon. You agree, and awaken in a foreign land.
You awake from the horrible nightmare. You call for your mother and father. Your hair has turned white, your skin a dark pale, and the mark of Lich is now imprinted onto your arm. Your parents rush in to discover your curse.
You are taken to the village leader to be held in trial. After several hours of words you don't understand you are exiled from the village. You don't know what "exiled" means, so you try to go into the city again. Your parents give you a poorly made wooden sword, then tell you that you can't return to the village. Your parents tell you that you have a mana source from the curse, so you can defend yourself using magic if you have to. Your father tells you to take the sword, and become a fine knight.
The village gates shut, and you are left to fend for yourself in the world.

As with all my other games, skills reach level 100 then evolve. Draconic magic will remain at 0 until we obtain a dracolich pup in the teenage stage. You'll know the teen stage is coming once I mention finding a mysterious amulet.
