Going online in a minute. What needs working on the most?

Edit: Apparently I'm in the Hideout of Sweat. Someone left the gates open and 24 zombies got in. 8 people died. Wow.

Yeah, the game's pretty brutal if you let it be. Particularly I see almost no one bothering to spend the 2 AP to upgrade their place to a tent, then when any zombie gets in they die. Leaving the gate open is pretty bad too, though if you think about it.... with some careful preparation you could open the gate right before midnight on purpose and kill off a lot of the competition for last one alive. Then again that's assuming you think 'winning' is 'last one alive' :P

This does not work! Zombies are randomly distributed between people, so any number can go after you as well.

Not right. With less people you have less supplies next night, and less chances to survive (because zombie waves are bigger each night).

Sowelu, please stop talking bullshit :P. Why did you confuse people saying that "attack seems to be at midnight" when it clearly says that it's "22:00 London time" and the game time is GMT+1?

Huh.  Okay, I'm probably on crack.  I was comparing against the listed attack time for my own time zone, and subtracting time from the game clock.  Something along the lines of (I don't remember the exact numbers) "Pacific: 18:00, hmm, it's 4:00 now so attack is in 14 hours, and it says it's 10:00 on the clock"

But yeah, probably wrong.  However I wanted to make sure someone else looked at it, because hey, they DID just update the attack rules...

They didn't change the attack time though.

The game time is Paris time which is GMT+1, so it's London+1. I hope you won't misunderstand it. because it's the one of the most important things about this game.

For those that missed out on a beta key, their twitter says to e-mail them at contact@die2nite.com
... Which is mysteriously missing from their main website.

I just sent them an E-mail, though I wasn't sure what to say, so hopefully they'll let me into the beta =) I'll post/edit when they reply.

Understood, thanks for clearing it up.

How are we doing on materials?  Will we get something else built today, do you think?  And did we figure out a way to craft more raw materials like those planks?  Because that sure would be nice right about now.

Its better to just look at the time in the upper right corner of the game screen, noticed that that was on time with the attacks before...
I won't be able to shut the gates unless we are looking to throw those 4 outside to the 'Wolves'

It's their funerals.  This early in the game, lots of players will join who decide not to keep playing.  Apparently once you hit 100 soul points, whatever those are, you join towns of other 100-plus soul point players.  I don't know how many games it takes to reach that level, but it sounds like you'll get smarter players and--more importantly--no more people who just log off forever.

1) At least two of them are without AP so dead.
2) They will attack us if we do not close the gates anyway.

Someone should do it at 22:30 at the top right time.

Also we have a happy town. My wife registered to play too, and her town is already has tons of grief on day 1 and people are reporting each other as crazy maniacs.

It'd be helpful if they posted the right times to begin with. As I said in the general forum thread on it if you take 22 GMT and convert it to EDT (new york time) you'd get 18:00, not 17:00 like it gives (EDT is -4 GMT, while EST is -5 GMT)

For the most important thing in the game everyone is confused about it D:

I don't think that it's hard to compare the top-right time with the real life London time :D. That's weird.
