Better control over levers...

Just a small idea. Have an option to design what happens when you pull a lever. So have a 3 second delay or something. It'd allow for even more complex traps.

 I support this.Would make pressure plate -> upward spike traps much more effective.

you can already do lever -> event -> pressure plate -> desired delayed event.
Voila, very complex trap  8)

That would require tweaking the flow speed to get the right delay though.

Nah, you just increase the distance between the plate and the water source, right? Of course, I don't think that works as well for long delays due to evaporation, or really really short/accurate delays.
