Isn't Pallkars the name of a Minecraft server (as well as an object in minecraft)? That's all I could find about it.

http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1012&t=26149

The Pallkars.net website appears similarly related.

The file is hosted at pallkars.net.  When I go to a random url like

http://pallkars.net/23948fjf

I get the same image -- I assume it's just his 404 thing.  So the file has probably been removed, but I don't think it's necessarily anything malicious.  When I get back to my own computer I'll remove the link.

Eh, drama really isn't Toady's cup of tea.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Yes indeed, clearly Toady (whose brother's awesome short stories are used as a method for brain storming development ideas), who made a computer game which has {given us} / {[inspired/allowed] people to create} Tholtig Cryptbrain, Nist Akath, Cacame, Bronzemurdered , Catten and the Eagle, etc etc etc, has no real penchant for drama.

Rather, he is Drama personified :)

I think Heliman was referring more to the type of drama you find in high school, flame wars and "reality TV" than the type of epic story drama that your example represent.

I just realized two things. 1. For the Win and F___ the World have the same initials. 2. They have the same meaning in Dwarf Fortress.

I was actually talking about how the page being a 404 error rather than an attack by minecraft fans was much less dramatic. o_o

You forgot Boatmurdered.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Dude, I will never forget Boatmurdered. There are a lot of good stories built up around DF these days though, and flame wars and Boatmurdered, that's more like melodrama.

Actually, now that I think about it, an opera based on Boatmurdred would be awesome.

*sigh.*
On the one hand, you have drama; high school style whining and pointless flame wars.
On the other hand, you have Drama: tales of dwarves fighting against the ruthless whims of nature, the brutal enemies of their people, the unholy powers of the Slade Plains and sometimes even the madness of their depraved gods.
It's an important distinction.

"What's the asshole mayor want now?"
"Oi, he wants some Red Spinel!"
"We got none! You know the drill!"
"PULL THE LEVER! START THE GRILL!"

Magma! Magma! Burning bright!
Set the pachyderms alight!
Magma! Magma! You can't run!
None survive when dwarves have FUN!

Quick, someone quote it!
I don't have any space left in my sig box!
A lot better that what I could have thought of, I admit.
And the story is sure to be filled with shocks!
