That's really unhealthy. Fat is needed by the body. To go completely without it is worse than a little too much, as you described yourself gaining weight from a fat-free diet(note: most Fat-Free foods ARE NOT). Reducing fat intake is much better. Same with salt, sugar, cholesterol, etc.

Aside from the physical necessities, there's very little I couldn't live without, and I do mean that. I've been without a lot at various parts of my life.

However, I'm happiest when I have a small number of good friends to to hang out with, access to nature and the outside world, tasty food, and new things to learn from. My life certainly wouldn't be the same without my computer either.

I don't remember exactly what I could eat, but I didn't live completely fatless. First of all, meat has fats and I still ate that.
Second, nobody and nothing in the world can stop me from having breakfast with half a liter of milk.

I know what you mean. My life would be entirely different if I didn't get to run for an hour or two every day after school. Stress relief, exercise, competition, and thinking time rolled all into one!
