THEY LET YOU HAVE CHILDREN?
*Shudders*

Is this really necessary or do you like being a douchebag?

Eh, people pull that joke on me all the time. Either counterpunch or walk it off.

Weeelll... anyone, including myself,  on this forum would be unlikely to be granted an adoption (and that's just about the only way I see any of us getting kids). "Plays Dwarf Fortress" is a textbook reson for foster parentage rejection. "Do you know what'll happen?" the orphanage people say to each other. "They'll put them to work mining coal the minute they turn 12, and that's if they don't conscript them! And that's if they don't have them spend every waking moment tearing down walls and harvesting plants!"

But then, it's reasonable someone would think I meant that harshly if they saw the Janet-created "frog" threads on my forum...

Honestly I don't think posting here honestly means you're automatically a freak. Though I will say one thing, the circumstances that ended up having her in my care started with DF actually. She thought it looked fun so we played together and things just grew from there.

I've been harsh to the game before, very much so despite me finding my love of the game again. But it brought us together and I wouldn't be half as happy as I am now if I had never played it. Or joined here. So yeah. Thanks Toady, and I'm sorry for being disruptive in the past too.

blah blah blah

Blah blah blah.  I couldn't live without puppies.

Anyway, I know making jokes about how all DF players are psychotic is hilarious* but there's no need to be insulting about it.

As I understand it, there's the simply physological need, which while not as essential to continued physiological operation as water and food, has the same low-level psychological effects when denied, (not counting higher level thoughts like "I'm going to die if I don't get some water" but instead the, for lack of a better word, subconcious needs), and then there's the need for romance, courtship, and what might be reffered to as lovemaking. Separate concepts entirely

*pushes glasses up bridge of nose*

Certainly applies in this discussion. Why is everyone so touchy lately?
And anyway, Cthulhu is on to something, but it's actually kittens.

Bare essentials. Food, my room (or house), my computer, my games, Internet optional, provided I have enough stuff anyway, or TV isn't up to scratch. Screw it, Internet too. I'd also have to toss in living on the beach.

Simply put, everything I have right now, I can't do without. I've found my comfort zone in life.

Besides the literal essentials, I find that money is really nice to have. But more than that, my notebooks. And a way to write in them.

Ah, and I've felt that I could do without money, as long as I could have all those other things. I'd rather be poor and living in a tropical paradise with a good home entertainment system (like my uncle does) rather than being filthy rich and forced to eat a low-fat diet.

Anything that makes me feel alive, physically. Usually it's riding my bike. Or my longboard. Moving only through musclepower and smartish usage of fulcrums is just the best feeling in the world.

Also, you can trick your brain into releasing all sorts of neat chemicals.

Seriously. Riding a bicycle down a flight of stairs or being loved... there's not a whole lot of a difference.

Brains can be so funny, they are so simple and yet so complex. Push button, receive bacon, if you know what I mean.

All I need is a room big enough to lay down in, my computer, electricity, and an internet connection.

If any of you have a spare closet I'd be happy to consider moving into it.
