Obviously they're both crazy and you should run away.  I mean, she wasn't crazy enough for you to notice anything out of the ordinary before now but it's probably just around the corner.

It's mainly because my brother used to have a girlfriend with dissociative disorder or something like that, her dad was an ex-marine and it did NOT go well at all. ie. She was totally fucking crazy. I just don't want a repeat of that.

Romantically you should probably not pursue her, yeah, but if you're just going to cut off all contact with her because you don't want to get into her Crazy Marine-Descendent Pants then that's kinda jerkish. I mean it's not like she just woke up one morning and was all "HEY DUDES MAN I'M FEELING LIKE TWO POLARS BEARS" - odds are she's been this way for a while, and her Dad has probably been an ex-Marine for a while now too (at least since he was a Marine, at least. Maybe a few days before that.)

So yeah, a romantic relationship is probably off the cards. But that doesn't mean you can't try to be the best friend you can be to a person who's going through an extremely difficult period of their life. Just be there for her if and when she needs you.

it's actually just the modern medical term for Weregiraffeism or "giraffathropy" it's actually pretty common
