Shade's Standard Schedule, Day 3: THE DAY THAT I BEHELD DIVINITY

EMPEROR SHADE DECREES THAT EVERYONE SHALL HAVE PLUMP HELMETS AND BEER FOR BREAKFAST, WHILE HAVING HARDTACK AND RUM FOR LUNCH AND DINNER. ALSO START MAKING ME A THRONE.

3 Hours of Survival - Breakfast, Lunch and Supper.
-I carefully consider Etur's offer and request, but tell him to get back to me later.
-I stare blankly at Torish. Ral only gave me the authority to hand out rations. I had not even considered taking over the textile industry. If I could do that, why stop there? All the world is there for the taking...  I tell her that I trust her judgement and she should do whatever seems best. Also flirt with them NO NOT AGAIN
-Get to know Irony. They may be a doltish Metal, but I can sense something deeper.
-I also support Arkon's bid.
13 Hours of Work
1 Hour - Clean off the rust and sharpen the point of my pick with a Whetstone until it is a deadly weapon once more.
11 Hour - Grab a Stone Block and set up a Brewer's Workshop. Steal tools from the round-rock Mechanics Workshop. Use Plump Helmets to make as much delicious booze as possible.
1 Hour - Go take records of the day.
8 Hours of Revival - Sleeping at night, waking at dawn.

Starting at dawn (6am)
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

(May change in event of wounding, combat, incarceration or insanity)

The tools are in Vallam's hands, Prepared Workshops are built via using a toolset to make the Workshop, there is an extra Level above that when a Toolset is used in the Construction Materials though...

Think of it like this...
There is Rough (Logs, Boulders, Wagon Bed) that are basicly the Dwarf using the workshop as a place to work, nothing more.
Basic (Mined Stone, Wooden Boards) which are the everyday things, a good sized bench with a place to put extra things.
Prepared (Mine Stone, Wooden Boards + Toolset in builders inv) which are your things like backyard toolsheds, you have a good enough area to make things, but you need to bring your own tools.
Set (Cut Stone, Toolset Addition) This is your big workshops, they are the ones that you see in schools and factories, fully there with the big sawblades to cut logs in half. The Toolset is used in the construction materials.

Since I'm not crazy enough to permanently consume a toolset (YET), I'll go with a Prepared Workshop.

With regards to the vote, I'd like to have a vague sense of the difficulty modifier (perhaps on a scale from trivial, easy, average, challenging, very difficult).

Also you've suddenly started calling my dwarf Akron :P Just thought I'd bring that up before it sticks.

Arkon's schedule for day 4:

3 Hours of Survival - Breakfast, Lunch with Sheg, and Supper, socialising when possible. Eat what I want and have the record keeper track it, as opposed to the Shade choosing what I eat (although metagame that's still fine). Additionally, gently remind Shade that we're still all equals here. With general consent from the others, assume the roles of sheriff and militia commander to ensure proper dwarven order and safety.

7 Hours of Work: Training Sheg and playing with Sheg; getting him to try to catch me (i.e. practise dodging while training the dog).
-3 Hours of Lesser Work: Take a whetsone and begin sharpening tools - first my axe, then my pick (which I will swap with the miner's), then my other axe (which I will swap with the woodcutter's), while keeping watch as usual.
-3 Hours of Lesser Work: Attempt to continue butchering (while keeping watch as usual).

7 Hours of Revival - Sleeping in the evening and at dawn.

My colour-coded day:
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Question to other dwarves:
Arkon would like to become the outpost's military and judicial figure, for the good of all, simply because he feels he is most capable of meeting the jobs' requirements. Does anyone oppose him in either of these roles?

I'll second this.

3 hours survival: Talk to shade while eating (see below).
8 hours revival
8 hours threshing: Find (or create, if needed) an unused "workshop" and start turning rope reeds into thread.
5 hours farming work: Plant seeds. Fisher berry seeds have a priority.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

To Shade: "I'll be ready to begin weaving tomorrow, while I wait for an underground plot of land to be available. I'll still be performing my more important duties, of course. Is there anything in particular that we need, or shall I make some fine socks to trade back to the Mountainhomes?"

3 hours of Survival.
2 hours of Work: Irrigating a 3x3 plot for Nirur.
6 hours of Work: Making mechanisms.
1 hour of Revival: While having a break at the same time with Shade's lunch, discuss their future throne and my humble request(see below).
6 hours of Work: Making a throne for Shade, if they promise to reveal two inches below their chin whenever I ask them to. It's too darn creepy when you don't know whether the dwarf that tells you to undress is still dwarf, and not some beardless thing that grows tentacles in the full moon. Never trusted them naughty doctors.
Or, if Shade disagrees, continue making mechanisms.
6 hours of Revival: Sleeping.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

Vallan gets up early to be working as soon as day breaks
2 hours Survival: gather the days rations and eat them as necessary
16 hours Major Task : Carpentry; finish the half-done entrance door and the rest beds. Make boards as/if necessary, use the new block as the workshop if possible.
6 hours sleep.

"If you're gonna be weaving Ill take some proper dwarven clothes over these rags, starting with a coat ...and ending with an extravagant hat."

OOC: Are we gonna have to refer to this as the mysterious Shade-o incident untill this gets resolved?

I Hope Irony Posts today while I am at work. I would love to keep up the rhythm but I would really like to know what you two (Shade and Maxi) have decided on the relationship status of their Dwarves.

Quick question, people like it so far???

Hmmm I will see what I can do but putting a description on what level something is is kinda difficult at the moment due to the unknown between which numbers are difficult and easy, on a D6 there is an equal chance of rolling high just as it is to roll low, perhaps when I know that it will be easier then it first seems cause you used a certain thing or something, perhaps...

If you'd like to move the turn along and I haven't posted, you can default me to:

6 hours Revival
3 hours survival
15 hours cutting down trees and hauling them back to camp

I'll seldom be miffed at having procured more fuel. In this case, however:

6 hours Revival (sleep, with puppy and kittens curled up on/next to me)
3 hours Survival (hour for each meal plus some drinking, share bits with puppy)
8 hours attempting to find/craft a proper whetstone
7 hours sharpening axe if whetstone is successful, chopping more trees if not (or if I finish my other tasks ahead of schedule)

Also approve of Arkon's bid for militia captain and sheriff.
