Minecraft for ya have to pay.
So demanding Toady to give you free stuff faster is fucking pointless

1.1) No, he's never had that kind of abuse that I've heard.

In brief, angry Minecraft players who want more updates, have launched an attack (what ever DDOS is) on minecrafts (servers, or website). To try and coerce its developer into putting out releases faster.
i remember that before the 2010 release there was some heat on some threads about the lack of releases. How bad has it got?

1.2) Never even close.  People hated waiting, beetched and moaned, but never this kind of self-absorbed insanity Minecraft is facing.

2nd question is, do we as the players have any right to behave like this?

2) No.  Not ever.  Spoiled brat thuggery.  Like the rich kid robbing the convenience store with daddy's service pistol because they don't sell enough kinds of candy.

and the third is, Who will pledge their lives to the defence of the honour of the great Toad and his esteemed poet laureate brother.

Like others have said, Dwarf Fortress's learning cliff is a fantastic defense against Trolls. Those not dorfy enough to handle DF are repelled very quickly, and trolls are quickly dispatched by our weapon traps and a legion of Axelords wielding ☼Adamantine Battleaxes☼. And all that's left is a bunch of elitists!

I've seen the Minecraft forums, and I don't think I've ever seen a gaming forum more full of trolls and childish whiners elves. On the other hand, I've never seen a fan-base as fantastic as the DF community (sociopaths notwithstanding). Comparing the two is unimaginable.

Ya see, this topic is a perfect example of why B12 forums are a lot better than many others. Because we discuss something until the point (which is, in this case, that Toady doesn't have the same issues as Minecraft and if he did, we'd destroy whatever was causing him issues) has been made enough times over. Then we go back to the traditional "Let's derail this thread" area, and I'm betting about 5 posts from now, we'll have someone come up with a magnificent new idea involving elves, magma, catapults, and maybe cats.
