It's over Two Hundred! (What? Two Hundred?) Population Caps
« on: October 22, 2010, 08:01:43 pm »

So I found the switch that lets me adjust population cap and I set it to ten thousand.

What is about to go horribly wrong?
Thanks for the feedback.

FPS death.

If your computer can handle a thousand dwarves, then nothing will go wrong, but your fort is going to pretty quickly become ridiculously huge in order to support that population and keep them working.

Give dwarves a 10:20 dwarfbabby litter size...make childhood only last a year...DWARFSPLOSION!?!?!??!!!

EDIT:  Make a textile industry to keep your dwarves busy, and make sure to have long complicated chains of stockpiles for them to transfer supplies between (need the hauler army to stay busy.)

That's what cages and minecart shotguns are for!  We don't need to control them.  We just need to aim them.

This just HAS to happen.
Perhaps with a butcherable flag too.

A modest proposal...

2) Lock dorfs in "romance" rooms
3)??? Spores ???
4) wait.

It's even more efficient because the enraged mothers kill their husbands, giving you even more bones to work with!

And remarriage will be in soon, meaning she will be able to have kids again later!
