Your name is Jacques Beaumont.
You, like the rest of human society that remains, are a citizen of the Combine Empire... No. You are a Slave To the Combine.
You are currently waiting in line at the City 17 Train Station/Town Hall for you Daily Rations.
It has been exactly twenty years since the 7 hour war. You harbor in you heart, desires for rebellion. But, society needs a leader to unite them. A fearless leader. You are not the quality of material for this job. However, you can, and you WILL Fight when the time comes. You MUST.
For yourself, and for Humanity itself.
You have received your daily rations, and eaten them.
What do you do?

Go to the train station. Follow a guy that looks like the bunnyhopper.

Attempt to see if your years of bunnyhopping is enough experience to bound over 1 floor up.

Find a lone Civil Protection officer doing a raid and choke him to death.

This seems like an inherently stupid idea. You need to play it smart here.

Go to the train station. Follow a guy that looks like the bunnyhopper.

What Bunnyhopper? Oh. Right. That guy in the orange suit at Black Mesa. That was 20 years ago, remember.

Attempt to see if your years of bunnyhopping is enough experience to bound over 1 floor up.
Eh, nope. You've always concentrated on speed, not height.

Go do whatever work they want us to, pocket something that can be used as a weapon but is small enough to keep hidden.

We're pretty close to mastering the bunny hop Megaman.
Go to the train station and loiter around for a while. Look for anyone with the glorious beard + glasses combo.

Ask if Officer Calhoun is on duty.

Failing that, Join Duty. ((Hey, Freeman's Doppleganger shows up in STALKER ShoC, so why wouldn't STALKER be in the Half Life Universe?))

Ask if Officer Calhoun is on duty.

Today is your every-two-weeks day off, and thus, you have no work to do.
You decide to loiter around the train station for a while. While there, you pocket a piece of broken glass.
While you wait, you ask a patrolling CP officer if Officer Calhoun is on duty. He just looks at you, and hits you with his stun baton.
2 hours later, still at the station...
You see a strangely empty train arrive. There are only three people on board. You see them get off... However, a CP officer rushes you out for "Questioning"
An hour later...
You are released, quite beaten, back onto the streets. You look up at the tower citadel... It's strangely lit up today.
