As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

You decide to wait at the gate for help to come to you. You consume two bottles of water and a can of food while waiting in the shade.
Later, at [00:00]...
You have waited for help until midnight. You fall asleep accidentally and wake up nearer to 06:00. You see nobody, but you do hear the nearby gate beginning to open, and a car's engine nearby. Also, quiet voices.

Yell
"HEY! OVER HERE! GUYS! WHAT WAS GOING ON!? I NEED A RIDE OUT OF HERE!"
Yell at them.
Use the bunny hop to grab attention.

You yell for help to the people near the car. You see a white car drive towards you and stop. A security guard pokes his head out the window. The security guard says "Hey, listen, we gotta go, Mister. Climb on in, and be quick about it! We've gotta escape this hell hole!"
You are quite obliged. You climb into the back of the car with some of the scientists.
The people inside the car the explain everything to you.
At around 9:00, a Resonance cascade occurred, causing a portal to open to the Border world of Xen. Aliens came out, and caused.. problems.
They are riding the car en route to... somewhere, anywhere.
While you ride, one of the scientists gives you a box of medical supplies. [Health restored]

Sweet.

Just one question, is this the Barney's Mind Barney Calhoun, which is much more funny, or the straight serious man Calhoun?

I'm really not sure if I'd count VALVe's Calhoun as straight faced, because the Dev commentary for Episode one says they intentionally added Barney to HL2 for humor. But hey, he'll likely end up as both.

I'll start the next section at around 4:00 Pacific time.
Also, you guys can vote on the title for this next chapter.
Half-Life 2: ?? ?? ?? ?? ??
Examples:
Half-Life 2: Civil Unrest
Half-Life 2: Civilian Uprising
Half-Life 2: Civil Defence
Slaves to Combine 2: Civilian Fortress
Ect.

In the end, I'll likely just go with what I like best.
Or, if there's a landslide, I'll go with that.
