It's probably made from baby bone, with a handle of baby leather. Probably uses the leg bones wound together for the handle, the pelvis for the handle/pick joint, and the pick is the spine.

But that's all in theory, of course. Not like I've made a pick out of my own 5 month old baby before.

I just realized, after adding the new body parts to the other races, that I have an entire squad of dwarves with a shield in each hand and swinging their axes with their penises. There's nightmare fuel for those goblins, in more ways than one.

I guess I had better claim turn six -- though somehow I feel we might not make it that far.

Since this fortress hasn't even got a save after more than a week of waiting, it's time for the players to get the ball rolling.

CubeJackal, would you like to provide your own save, with location and dwarves as described in Fisher-Risen's first post, and then start telling us the story of What Happens Next?

If neither Fisher-Risen nor CubeJackal does this by Midnight (GMT) of Oct 9th (Tuesday), I will.

It would also be a good idea for everyone playing the first three turns to speak up and let us know that they're ready to play.

"Fedor here.  Ready to play Turn 3 (or turn 1 if nobody speaks up by the date and time specified)."

I thought it was a bit odd for the game not to have started in such a time frame, I'll take any turn just pm when its my turn.

And we have a fort, complete with saltwater crocs and something even better.  Let's get it on.

Savefile is at http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=3378

I plan to play only one year, and ask that other players please also limit themselves to one year, unless they ask for and get permission from the next person in line or the active community.  With two-year turns, most people will simply take too long.  Also, fewer people will get a chance to play.
