Beardling strange moods
« on: October 20, 2010, 06:56:43 pm »

So a 4-year old just became extremely secretive, like, even more than a regular one. Let's wait and see what he does.

I wonder what'll happen if he doesn't get his project finished... he has two siblings and two parents, could prove to be interesting.

There's a picture of itself on it? Does that mean the same picture is on the picture which also has a picture?

It could be a picture of the front on the back or something like that...

Fractal artifacts are uncommon but not terribly rare.

There's an infinitely recursing spiral of earrings and the community here can only say "Yeah this happens occasionally."

That's the great thing about this forum. We can derail any discussion into any other topic.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

Quiet, you, you're ruining my recursive artifacts!

I have here a toy gun from a toy store.  On the toy gun is a small decorative sticker, which is a sticker of the toy gun.  Could be like that; just an abstract picture of itself on it.

A picture of itself without the image, possibly as an afterthought.

Or an image that's only recursive as far as you can carve.

Well it's made of pig tail fiber so it's not much of a carving more like embroidery I guess. I wonder if the artifact would dissolve in water?

Pig tail is waterproof.  Dissolve it in magma.  (for extra fun, do this after your 4 year old has grown up, and you've trained him in the fine art of armor user, shield user, and axedwarf)

Ash as in the wood, not ash as in post-burning dust.

Aye, and he traveled half the map to get the single log of ash when there was plenty of oak and birch right nearby.

I think I'm gonna give him a full set of adamantine armor and the best whip I can find before the earring accidentally falls into a pit of magma.

Oh, and does anyone know what happens if you fill a room with water which also contains a wooden earring?

Nothing happens to the earring.
