Highly depends. The trouble being that the evidence being presented for the (potential) overturning seems to have been evidence already available to the defence in the original trial/prior-appeals. Either previously dismissed (for reasons that I'm no expert in, either legally or medically) or that the defence decided was not going to help her in the prior stages (so obviously not a fait accompli proof of innocence, unless someone messed up really badly). In fact, the primary defence witness was a plumber (testifying as to the plumbing issues at the site), not all these medical professionals that are going public right now.

Like the issues of SIDS and SBS, more understanding might be had in the future, but (rightly or wrongly) I can't see that there's currently much cause to treat this as similar to that of Kathleen Folbigg or even Heather Woodward. (There certainly are recorded failings in the health system, including in maternity units.)

I mean, if it is accepted, and especially if succeeds, then it's a very big thing, but I wouldn't be counting those chickens just yet, when we're only hearing one "side" declaring the supposedly incontrovertible nature of what seems not to have usefully swayed (legal/jury/CPS) opinion so far.

(Also it's possible that 'unreasonable doubt' could now prevail, with as much a 'retrial by  media' as it was originally a 'trial by media') and technically clear a guilty party, but it's not for me to prejudge the post-judge,

Going to have to start looking for an attorney, since my manager is a racist asshole.

Today's incident, one of the Hispanic girls kept shoving racks into me from behind. She's constantly done this, and my manager has always maintained that it's my fault because where I'm standing isn't technically my assigned work area, except my assigned work area is never available due to a combination of overflow from my department, crap dropped there from the department next to there, and my asshole cousin constantly taking up more space, something that has almost resulted in physical violence more than once(I've had to leave work because he kept trying to escalate that far). In addition to that, for the past few weeks, trainees from another facility have taken the spot over completely to train. Again, my manager(who put the trainees there), insists that it's my fault I'm not in that spot.

So, this woman kept shoving racks into me, so I kept shoving them back towards her. The supervisor-in-training(another Hispanic woman) gets mad, tells the manager, he gets angry at me, saying it's my fault that racks are being deliberately shoved into my back, and eventually decides to move me almost the entire length of the building away to "fix" the problem. Now I have to walk about 100ft each time I process another rack - I handle about a 100 racks or so per day.
